This is a simple story of my personal experiences but I believe it has profound implications.

Learning from A Personal Experience

I don’t know if you have been told ‘you talk too much’ but I have been told that a thousand times. Also, I didn’t realize that it’s possible my monologue could be construed as a display of knowledge which creates a deeper sense of insecurity within the minds of members of the audience creating an all round negative atmosphere.

On reflection, there’s two things I learnt i.e. the incredible power of silence to not only conserve my life energies but also to stop extra words from creating a negative experience of the kind I mentioned above.

However, the second lesson is more important to me and it is the power of positive speech. I am not alluding to false praise — I am talking about picking something positive from each person you address to dramatically alter their state of mind.
